HANDMADE BURGER CO. are excited to announce that they have now opened in the new Grey’s Quarter in Intu Eldon Square shopping centre.
HANDMADE BURGER CO are family owned and independent and have been passionate about great, fresh, natural burgers since they opened their first restaurant in 2006, and they are still staying true to doing things right every time.
Owner, Chris Sargeant, was delighted to announce the news and said, “We are so happy to have added another restaurant in Newcastle, in Intu Eldon Square shopping centre, to the HBC family. Our success is driven by a passion for fresh, natural, handmade burgers as well as genuinely looking after each and every guest. We are looking forward to bringing over 40 different handmade burgers, made from scratch in the restaurant every day.”
Chris, together with his two brothers, found the perfect location for their first family-run restaurant at Brindleyplace, in their home town of Birmingham 10 years ago. Since then the family-run business has been opening across the UK.
HANDMADE BURGER CO. are obsessed with offering award winning burgers with imagination which are handmade from traditionally reared, grass fed, 100% fully traceable prime Scotch beef. There are over 40 varieties of handmade and hand pressed burgers on the menu and each burger can be tailored to be just the way you want it. With a selection of fabulous chicken and vegetarian options available, and a great range for children too, there really is something for everyone.
Priding themselves on the freshest and finest ingredients, HANDMADE BURGER CO. use buns that are baked from a fourth generation family bakery, along with the finest fresh cut chips created from only the best Maris Piper potatoes. All restaurants receive deliveries of farm fresh potatoes up to six times a week to ensure that the chips are as fresh as possible – you’ll even spot the potato sacks when you visit! The outcome is the perfect golden chip that is fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside that will rival the homemade ones your mum used to make.
In 2015 HANDMADE BURGER CO. created a dedicated gluten free menu which was accredited by Coeliac UK, and registered all of their vegan options with The Vegan Society.
