Ways to save the pennies in January
We’re half way through January now & you may be feeling desperate for Pay Day to hurry up. So…we’ve come up with some great ways to save the pennies in January to keep you going.
1. Get yourself down to the January sales & do some bargain hunting! You can buy birthday presents in advance at fraction of the cost if you’re feeling organised!
2.We’re all for recycling, but have you thought about recycling in your home to save the pennies? Before you throw things away, ask yourself whether it could be used for something else & dust off your Blue Peter skills. For example, why not turn an empty coffee pot into a storage pot? Reusing stuff will definitely save you time as well as money.
3. It’s true that if you look after the pennies, the pounds will look after themselves! So make sure you’re saving & spending the pennies before getting out more money. It’s also been proven that spending in cash makes you think twice about that purchase, making you more careful with your money than using credit or debit cards! Definitely food for thought..
4. If you’re spending in January, make the £’s count by signing up for store loyalty cards so that you will be rewarded for the spending. Any chance of getting offers to iphone as my printer often doesnt work! Other companies do it and people are more likely to go to that restaurant than one where you havent got a voucher for if you decide on the off chance you want something to eat ;0)
